Italy, I cant say enough about this country. I came across French Marie Claire Home, called Marie Claire Maison,and found these amazing shots of Portofino.
I love the color palette captured in these shots and how much these images reminded me of my trip to Rome a year ago.I MUST return to Italy at least 5 more times in my life time. It is just breathtaking !

Hi Friends !
I have been M.I.A for a almost a month and I do apologize for that. I was taking a very much needed vacation with my little lady .She was being introduced to my side of the family and enjoying some tropical weather. The important thing now is that I am back and ready to Blog ! I hope you didn't miss me too much.
Call me Coo-Coo , but I have been seeing my daughter grow at the speed of light, and this has made me begin to think about the BIG day, her first birthday, which will take place smack in the middle of winter . Hahaha. It's Spring and i'm thinking about winter. Well, maybe I am crazy.
I'm trying to think of winter party themes and decor. I absolutely love these by Amy Atlas

I live in a small apt in NJ. It's as cute as a button for sure. Unfortunately, I will have to put it up for rent or sale SOON. You see, my newborn daughter needs room to play as she grows older(which is happening at the speed of light by the way) . If all goes as planned, I willl be able to provide her with a pretty nursery . When that time comes I'd love to decorate it as Ali did with her daughter's room. I love the vintage theme....oh so girly !

Who is that adorable cutesy face of a princess you ask? Well, it's My little muchkin' during her tummy time excercise routine yesterday. I tell ya, this little girl gets prettier by the minute. Im can't even handle it ! She will be the death of me. Don't you just want to kiss those little cheeks?

Ahhhhhh, She is finally getting better with her sleeping schedule and she smiles and laughs a lot more (despite the fact that she is healing from a little eye infection). Happy Mommy = Happier Baby. I don't know if it's wishful thinking , but I swear she talks back to me . Off course it sounds more like "Gugu gaga", rather than actual words, but she is a bright cookie. Her complexion is also changing and looking more like mine, which I think is awesome, off course. I enjoy her daily and I wish I could slow down time because she is growing up so fast.

She tops my "THINGS I CAN'T RESIST" list.

I have become infatuated with all things soft and cute for my little princess Linda Sophia. I came across a wonderful brand called Blablakids. This is yet another eco-friendly collection of knitwear inspired products ranging from dolls, mobiles, blankets, clothes , etc. All of the items are handmade from natural fibers and knitted by Peruvian artisans. Aren't they drool worthy ?

Personal Update.

Today is my 13th day as a parent and I must say that I am slowly getting the hang of it.

The "no sleep" that new parents talk about is under-estimated. I find myself talking giberish and at times walking into the kitchen to prepare a bottle of mik while I am half asleep. I don't even remember having changed diapers at times. However, it does get easier by the day.

Ever since my little princess was born I have been busy with some freelance work for the fashion industry. Yes, KindlyNoted has been negelected a teeny bit, but I will come back in the next week with new merchandise for Valentines Day ! Stay tuned my darlings.

My role as a Parent

So it's 9pm-ish on the night of January 7th . Juan and I are watching Modern Family on TV and the contractions begin. They are mild and manageable. I continue on with my chores and TRY to get sleep ( impossible) . My mom comes over the next morning and we spend the day together . January 9th, 4 AM-sh we head over to the hospital because the contractions have been 2-3 minutes apart for hrs. At the hospital I am admitted and later, at approx 9:00 AM, dismissed because I am just 1cm dialated and not in ACTIVE labor. We head home and 2 hours later my water breaks while i rested in bed. Now it's OFFICIAL ! We are leaving the house and coming back +1. In a matter of 2 hrs I went from 1 cm to 3cm dialated.

I continued to dialate as the contractions became more and more unbearable. (OUCH ! )

By the time I reached approx 8 cm (drug free), I got the Epidural , THANK GOODNESS !!!!!!
I made the right choice because it turns out I was having "Back Labor", meaning this little munchkin of mine was Sunny side up . This means that the labor will just be ALOT longer than normal and ALOT more excruuuuuuuutiating.

Long story short, I pushed for approximately 3 hrs, I had a Episiotomy ( Surgical incision through the perinium) , and after hrs of blood , sweat and tears , I gave birth to a beautiful, chubby cheeked little Princess named Linda Sophia. She was born at 8lbs - 3 ounces at 7:42Am on January 10th.

Giving life to her was worth all the pain X 100.

Seeing her makes me feel COMPLETE !
I can not wait to see what memories we will have together as a family. Life is surely GOOD !

Maternity Photo Session

Hello Everyone !

This past Sunday ( 11.08.09) was such a lazy one. My boyfriend and I woke up later than ever . He gets up from the bed and grabs a camera, then says “ It’s a perfect day for maternity pictures, the lighting in this apartment is great”. I immediately got up and got coffee ready for us as we re-arranged furniture and set up for the pictures.

I am posting a few to share with you. I hope you find them as beautiful as I did. Our daughter will love seeing these as she gets older.

Family Tree Craft

So I got the idea to create a beautiful family tree for my unborn daughter Linda Sophia. I gathered all of my supplies and got to work.

The next day I emailed the images to a few friends and before you know it , people started to request personalized trees for their children and relatives.

I later thought “Hey I can sell these online”, hence http://www.kindlynoted.etsy.com .

I had an early appointment at the Jersey City Medical Center for my Anatomy Sonogram . My boyfriend , his mother and I were so excited to see how much our baby has grown since we last saw her ( at 7 weeks 5 days) . I loved watching her tiny hand and feet....just precious. The family is elated our first born is a girl after having so many boys in the family ! She will be our Christmas baby, what gift is better than the gift of life and a life long best friend. * Due date January 6th - Stay tuned.

We can’t wait to meet. We love you so much already !

Take a glass jar and whenever your kids say something funny and silly , jot it down and store it in the jar !

It's such a great idea that comes in handy for a pick - me - up on bad days.

I bet it'll bring a smile to your face and make you cuddle your child.
